THIS IS MY BODY

“This is My Body” was inspired through a conversation that Fr. Pavone had with Dana about the comparison between the words “This is My Body” as used by Jesus to give us eternal life, and as used by abortion supporters to defend the taking of life.

Fr. Pavone gave Dana the brochure that he had written about this comparison, and suggested that a song should be written to convey this powerful message. Within a few hours, Dana called him back and said that she had the song basically written! After subsequent meetings and sitting together at the piano, Fr. Frank and Dana were satisfied that the finished product would inspire pro-life people worldwide.

In the song, Dana plays the role of a woman who has had an abortion. Gretchen sings as a woman who believes in the “right to choose.” And Mark plays the role of Jesus, who teaches us to sacrifice ourselves for others. They each do this using the same words, “This is My Body.”

Planned Parenthood and Judy Blume

This was sent to us via email, thought I would pass it along.

I heard this on the radio news, but I looked it up on the web to see if it was for sure. It is about a statement made by Judy Blume (author of youth books).

Her suggestion for a Mother’s Day gift is to make a pledge to planned parenthood.

Nice to know where people stand. Sad isn’t it?

U.N. Convention on the Rights of a Child

This is not a time to sit still and wait. Please pass this on. Post it to your blogs. It is serious for our entire nation. Tell family members and grandparents to act. Even if they do not home educate, they will see the seriousness of this situation.

To All Home Educators,

For a number of years I have been monitoring a very important treaty; U.N. Convention on the Rights of a Child.

Originally prepared for the Senate ratification by the Bush Administration (Bush Sr), this treaty was prevented by conservative Senator Jesse Helms.

This treaty is probably one of the most dangerous documents to parents and their rights to direct the education of their children. One of my main concerns with the election of Obama was the appointment of Hillary Clinton as Sec of State. For years she has been determined to bring this treaty forward (while as 1st Lady). And now, with the power in Congress and Whitehouse, this now a very real issue. Today I received an important email from parentalrights.org (founded by HSLDA founder Michael Farris):

SENATOR BOXER ASKS STATE DEPARTMENT TO EXPEDITE THE U.N. CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD

After Ambassador Susan Rice s inability to make an iron-clad commitment for immediate ratification, Boxer will ask Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for U.S. support of the UNCRC.
The U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), which opponents say could destroy American sovereignty by imposing international rulings on American law, could reach the Senate within 60 days. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) says she wants a 60-day timeframe for the State Department to complete its review so the Senate can move toward ratification of the UNCRC.
During the Senate Confirmation hearing between Boxer and UN
Ambassador-designate Susan Rice held on January 15, 2009, Boxer told Rice the UNCRC would protect the most vulnerable people of society.
Opponents vehemently disagree. Under the Supremacy Clause (Article VI) of the U.S. Constitution, ratified treaties preempt state law. Since virtually all laws in the U.S. regarding children are state laws, this treaty would negate nearly 100% of existing American family law. Moreover, it would grant the government authority to override parental decisions by applying even to good parents a standard now only used against those convicted of abuse or
neglect.
In the hearing, Rice promised to review the treaty but noted challenges of domestic implementation. Rice also resisted a strict time frame: I don’t have a sense of how long it will take us, in light of the many different things on our plate, she said.
Calling it a complicated treaty, Rice expressed her commitment to the treaty s objectives, but when Rice concluded that she could not meet the Senator strict time frame, Boxer said they would take it up with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
In light of this news, many are asking us, What can I do to help stop this treaty and preserve parental rights and American sovereignty? The answer is, become a PRO-Active 10-and-2 Representative. Petition signatures will help. Sending emails, post cards, or phone calls to your Congressman and Senators will help more. But signing up as a 10-and-2 Representative will do so much more.
First, instead of just one signature, you will recruit 10 in addition to your own. Instead of 1 post card or call to each representative, you will generate 11 (including yourself). Most importantly, though, 10-and-2 Reps recruit 2 more people to do the same thing, so we grow exponentially. We know you can t invest 40 hours a week and collect hundreds of signatures, but you can have that same impact in just 2-4 hours as a PRO-Active 10-and-2 Representative.
To get full details and sign up as a 10-and-2 Representative, to make a donation to fund these efforts, or simply to sign the petition, visit http://www.parentalrights.org/join-the-fight.

4000 -VS- 6,501,748

Today it seems everyone has a passionate opinion on the war in Iraq, one way or the other. We read on an other blog that the death toll for the u.s.a. is now up to 4000. We do not watch TV, so we do not see the news. Also we do not listen to the radio or read the paper. We just don’t see much use in it. Why pollute our minds with all that garbage. So we are taking the the number of 4000 at their word. It is sad that the u.s.a. or any one has lost 4000 people. You just hope and pray they knew YHWH through Y’Shua (Jesus).

anti war
This new mile stone has caused Anti-War protesters to come out in force. In return the those who support the War have not been silent either. We do not want to address either side of this, but take up an other issue that is even more pressing.

While the war tallies the death counts. We have a ticker on our blog counting the number of the innocent children that have been slaughtered by Abortion, to the god of Self Worship, since the beginning of the Iraq war. 6,501,748 children have lost their lives. Yet so many are silent. We are not wanting to be little the lives given by the soldiers. It is a sad loss, for this country and for their families, but so is the travesty of abortion. Where is the Media coverage? And pollititions have their mouth duct taped shut until they want the vote from the “radical right”. Where is the balance in all this, is all that we are asking.

34wksMany scream with signs saying NO MORE WAR! But many of these same people are avidly pro-kill-your-baby. It is a wicked generation. Wicked is a word that means to twist, or twisted, as in to twist a candle wick or wicker furniture. A true twisting of the mind is evident. When people can demand that we stop the killing, except when it causes me to be responsible for my actions before YHWH and to the Life Within.
