This is a good book so far. The one thing to look for when buying this book, is that has all the correct pages are in place. Our copy has about 20 pages missing, and it has an extra 15-20 pages that are duplicated. Good thing we found out about the missing pages by skimming through it before we read to that point, so we ordered an other copy from Amazon and it should be here shortly.

This is another book by Bill Butterworth who wrote the book we read a few books back. He is a funny author, this book has been a fun light hearted read so far, as he tells many stories of his families home school adventures.

This is a book that has been worth getting. In fact it was so good we bought it twice. We got our copy from Amazon. In fact we bought it this summer, only to find out we bought a copy before and never read it. We forgot about it until we were going through a box and found it again. We were thinking of offering it as a give away on our blog.

From the cover “In the flight to freedom, Tirzah Learns a song of hope”. This is going to be a story about the story of Moses and the Exodus from Egypt. We hope it will be true to the Bible. We will comment later and let you know how it went, and how the children liked it.

This is a change of pace for us. It will be fun to read a book written more on the level of the children, yet it is a book that tells a biblical story. This was also a book that Anna read in school and we found a good used copy cheap on Amazon.  It is nice because it gives scripture refrences throughout the story.

Family Planning and the Lordship of Christ

This was truly an awesome book! It is filled with a lot of good information and scripture to back it up. This would not be a good book for reading together with the family, as we did. There is a lot of talk of family planning (specifics) as title mentions that we skimmed around as we read.

This book should be given to every christian couple as they are looking at marriage and to every minister that does any premarital counseling. It should also be read by all other christian couples young and old to turn the tide of attitudes in the church, if we want to change the world for our God.

Very funny book, even if it is a little dated (mid 80’s). The stories Bill Butterworth tells are often so classic, that we as parents can relate to it in any decade. You can still find a cheap used copy of this book on HERE on Amazon, and it will be well worth the laugh to get a copy. The introduction is by Chuck Swindoll.

This has been a great book so far and deals with some great information and is a book we highly recomend to people with families of any size. It also has some great information dealing with the truths about underpopulation vs overpopulation and trusting God. There family was featured on the TV show “Kids By the Dozen” on the cable channel TLC. We do not have cable (or any tv channels) so we had to borrow a DVD of the episode from someone we know on the web. We have a link to the Jeubs web page in our links section, and you can get a copy of the book from them there. If you do tell them you read about the book here(we don’t get any thing for it just thought they would get a kick out of it…lol).      They are some neat people.

Raising One of America’s Largest Families -How They Do It

This is a great book so far. We are in chapter 4 now and it is neat to see how they do things in their family. Even if you dont have or plan to have 18 children, if you have more than one child it will be an insperation. And if you do get blessed with 18 children it is nice to know someone has been there before you and made it through.

Time seems to get away from us some times, as we forget to post things like this to our blog. We read the second book in this series and didn’t get it posted until now and already we are on chapter 11 of book three.
