Homeland Security Targets Conservative Americans

2nd Report in Recent Weeks Warns of Violence by “Right Wing Extremists”

Lancaster, PA (April 15, 2009).The US Department of Homeland Security has issued a report warning law enforcement to pay close attention to “right wing extremists.” The DHS report titled  Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment is the second such report which labels those with a conservative political ideology as potentially violent.

The Constitution Party, the fastest growing third party in America, decries the report as a calculated effort to demonize those who adhere to the concept of limited, Constitutional government.

In the report, issued on April 7th, the DHS warns of potential violence by “right-wing extremists” who, the report says, can be found among those against illegal immigration, increased federal power and taxation, gun control, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty. The report mentions returning war veterans as being particularly threatening, saying the “recession” is fueling radical “recruiting” of the military.

“This propaganda coming from the United States government should enrage each and every hard working American across the political spectrum”, said Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer.

“Especially the demonizing of veterans who gave so much while fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s reprehensible that those brave men and women are being eyed with such unwarranted suspicion,” Clymer added.

The DHS report comes on the heels of a report in Missouri which made similar mischaracterizations last month, saying those who follow third party candidates like Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin and Libertarian Bob Barr should be suspect. The Missouri Information Analysis Center’s (MIAC) warning to law enforcement was compiled with the help of the DHS but was later denounced by the Missouri State Police Chief  as  a “political attack”(http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=93067).

The Constitution Party calls on Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to likewise acknowledge her department’s April 7th report as a political attack, and rescind the damaging document.

“This is an egregious case of political profiling. The timing of this report – to coincide with tax protests across the country – should not be lost on Americans. It’s indeed a frightening reality when those who subscribe to a Constitutionally- based political view are characterized as potentially “violent,” Clymer noted.

These are more of the highhanded tactics used by the present administration. Even before taking office, they successfully muffled every source of dissent that could have influenced the election outcome. The present demonstrators have been 100% peaceful and law abiding. Something that cannot be said of those protesting the Iraq war and Bush.

Obama’s campaign slogan was about changing things. He’s changing things alright……..he’ removing our freedoms! And replacing it with “big brother”. I am amazed at the speed he and Hilary are working to form a communistic nation, and a one world government.

Ok, this article is a little ridiculous. Right wing extremists are now on the watch list. So, what? Welcome to the life of a liberal. We’ve been on watch lists for 8 years now. Environmental activists, feminists, Democrats, etc. So have people that subscribe to any religion that isn’t Christianity. So have people that are not Caucasian. I traveled a few years ago with a co-worker of mine. Security at the airport made her go through the metal detectors 4 times and wanded her twice. She did absolutely nothing wrong and didn’t stand out in anyway other than the fact that she was Asian. It was blatant racial profiling.

The right wingers act like no one else has ever gone through this. Welcome to America in 2009. Everyone is on a watch list.

I was in the former Soviet Union when the doors first opened. I had the amazing chance to talk with men and women who were tortured. Wh saw their relatives murdered for one reason. Their conservative, Biblical views were an offense to the State.

Some saw it coming. Some warned others. Most of those crying out with warning were labeled, “ridiculous”. They were seen as extreme.

May we who call upon the name of the Lord be always ready. Wise and innocent.
