If the hair is so curly the force of the vacuum won't pull it straight then it wont work. I have used the flowbee along the back of Judah's hair to cut as short as 1/2 inch or so. If I had any boys, I would consider buying one. I am not sure it would work on my husband's hair. He has curly, thick hair and likes to have it clipped very close. I am not sure how the Flowbee would work on his head. Maybe you could enlighten me. :) There's a photo of him on my blog that appears in the top of the right side bar in a slide show.
